Halicarnassos

The Mausoleum, Halicarnassos
(now Bodrum), Turkey (B.C. 353),
the most famous of all tombs, and
one of the seven wonders of the world,
was erected to King Mausolos
by his widow Artemisia,
and from it is derived the title "Mausoleum,"
applied to monumental tombs.

Another example of nine columns in architecture is the Mausoleum, Halicarnassos.
